v0.060 Released - Parry Mechanic, Orc Race Added, and the Little Things
It's hard to believe that the day is coming, but the demo of Battle Tower Royale is very nearly finished. In the roadmap to completing the demo, I outlined all the things that the game would need before the demo could actually be labeled as finished. I have very nearly reached that point. With the Parry mechanic and Orc races added in, there is so little left to do. Most of what need to be done is detail work on lots of little things that have been neglected for so long, plus refining some existing mechanics as well as taking in a LOT of player feedback to make sure that the game really feels refined before I move on.
Below lists the changes made to this build, and I'll soon make a post detailing what is left to be done.

1. Parry is added in as a mechanic. This is essentially a shield block that works on both projectiles and weapons. It is currently set up so that you need a base level of defense to block these attacks, and you'll take damage if you don't. I'll adjust this based upon player feedback.
1a. Sabrina will give you a non-skippable dialogue when you first buy a shield to tell you about the mechanic.
2. The Orc is now a playable race. This race focuses on attack power, and the bonus feat you can take reflects this.
3. Numerous sprite upgrades and fixes. This is especially noticeable in the Armor Shop. I've fixed a couple cases of the item selection bar not being large enough to cover an entire name's entry. I've also implemented dynamic layering for many of the NPCs as well as some objects.
4. Incremental incorporation of Colorblind mode - the menus and hotkey color text are now color-blind friendly. The next step will be to make color-coded enemy attacks colorblind-friendly as well.
5. Added in a few new NPC dialogue interaction. Alabaster now appears in the Weapon Shop after stage 1-6, and there are a couple of new NPCs in the teleporter room. One of them gives you a couple of healing potions if you talk to him.
6. Fixed a major bug involving stacking items. It used to be that you couldn't buy more than 2 of any item (except for Redox's potions), and this has now been fixed.
7. Lots of smaller bug fixes. Several instances of enemy attacks missing you if you stood still have been fixed.
8. Fixed a crash that would result if you talked to Pyrite after stage 1-6.
9. Frigid Air and Healing Touch have been added into thew Magic Shop.
10. You can now resize the game window in Windowed mode.
