Build v0.22 Released - Controller Support Added, New Save Files Needed
So I decided to do a mid-release update to pad out the long wait time between new zones! This update incorporates controller support into Tower of the Immortals for the first time following requests by a considerable number of playtesters! I can confirm that this works perfectly with Xbox controllers, though I am uncertain about some others such as Switch or Playstation controllers. If you've got something other than an Xbox controller and can offer feedback about how controller support is handled, I would love to hear about it!
Because of the high number of inputs the game has, I had to make some modifications to the control schema to comfortably fit in controller support, and this involved a pretty substantial amount of refactoring and code changes throughout the game - some of these were needed regardless, but adding in controller support for a game not originally designed to have it proved to be a challenge.
I have included a document detailing the controls you'll use, but you can also review these in-game as well. The D-pad and joysticks are reserved and cannot be reassigned, but the other buttons can be besides START and SELECT.

Unfortunately, because I didn't originally intend to have this be is own standalone release, some of the refactoring I've done also includes changing how variables are saved and loaded. due to this, save files from v0.21 won't load correctly and will crash, so it'll be necessary to start a new save file. I apologize for this issue - normally this is only something done between major releases.
As for the future, I think I'll hold off on releasing new builds for now so I can really focus on making new content. I've got the first artwork of Zone 3 finished, and I'll be posting its full name as well as a preview real soon!
