v0.21 Patch Released! Full Changelog Inside, and Teaser for Zone 3 Roadmap
v0.21 is ready for playing! This patch addresses some issues found in the previous build, as well as adds a few new details designed to make your playthrough more enjoyable. With the release of this patch, work officially begins on Zone 3 of the game. There will be some *extensive* changes that are planned for this next major release, and I am excited to share them with you in the coming days!
In the meantime, here's a comprehensive list of what's been included in this build:
-Several crash fixes - namely for the boss and Ball Lightning
-Added in an additional spell - Enchanted Barrier. This spell will give you extra Defense while active and damage enemies close to you.
-Mystic Boomerang now requires charging time to cast and has slightly reduced damage, while Ball Lightning has been made more expensive to obtain. These spells were almost busted with how strong they are.
-Enemy AI has been improved. A lot more enemies now remain hostile once attacked, since before killing them from a distance with spells was almost trivial.
-Traps now have the potential to damage enemies. Use this to your advantage if you can.
-Potions no longer restore your stats immediately. This makes it far harder to just run into the middle of enemies and spam potions while you fight. You also can't use them anymore if you're stunned.
-Treasure chests now have a "Take All" option available.
-Numerous bug fixes, including a tendency for floating enemies to get stuck moving back and forth super quick at the edge of walls. I also fixed an issue where pressing 'ENTER' on Return in the game's menu would just open up the menu again.
-A few cosmetic fixes, such as when the Orc could have her hair appear through the helmet while casting a spell.
-Some dialogue fixes, and a new NPC to make the upper part of the Steamworks Foundry feel less empty.
-Gem drop rates have been increased.
-Minor changes to dialogues and a few talking NPCs.

By the end of the week, I intend to post a full roadmap of what I will include in the third zone of the game. There will be some pretty substantial changes coming, and some of these are features that people have been asking for for quite some time. It will also substantially increase replayability, and I think those who have been following this game closely will be very excited to see what is coming down the pipeline. Stay tuned!
