Upcoming v0.21 Patch - Enemy AI Enhancements, New Spell, Bug Fixes, and More!


Well, it's been a while since the last post so it's time to update everybody on what's going on. After publishing the newest update, I felt a bit burned out from all the effort that went into that build. Understandably, I needed a decent break from everything. But now I'm back into the swing of things, and I'm playing through my game, taking feedback, and making fixes and changes as I go. There will be a fairly long list of changes overall, but some of the more notable ones include:


-Enemy AI has been enhanced. Previously most enemies would remain in place if attacked from a distance, but now far more will pursue you if you attack them until you kill them!

-A new spell has been added: Enchanted Barrier. This spell puts a protective ring around you that gives you bonus defense while it is active and damages enemies it hits.

-Enemies can also be damaged by traps now. This can be used to your advantage.

-Several spells have received adjustments to their strength and cost.

-Potions no longer heal instantaneously - they will only gradually restore stats, so don't go rushing into combat unless you can handle it!

-Various bug fixes.

-Enhanced drop rate for gems and potions.

-Treasure chests now offer a "take all" option.

-A few cosmetic fixes.

After this patch is released, I am going to write a longer devlog post that illustrates the roadmap for Zone 3 - The [REDACTED]. The full name of this zone is already revealed in-game if you play far enough! But I've got some seriously exciting changes on the horizon, including several major changes that will greatly expand how you can play the game, and offer much more replayability than before. It won't be long before the v0.21 update is released, and just after that I'll lay the groundwork for the game's next major update. Stay tuned!
